Romania, European Day of Languages

This year, in September, I celebrated The European Day of Languages in our school (Școala Gimnazială Hodac, Mureș county, Romania) because I wanted the students to know how important is to know some foreign languages. It's very important for us as humans to communicate and to find out things about other countries.
I brought to school a lot of small cards with different flags of countries from Europe especially, but also from other continents of the world.
Children worked in groups or in pairs to draw and color flags that resembled the flags from the smalls cards.
Then they sticked the paintings with the flags and with the names of the countries on a large piece of paper and then we put this project paper on a wall, in or school outside the classroom.

It was a great activity and students enjoyed it a lot.
